Our collection moves through time and space: it begins with Alfredo Andersen,
considered by many to be the “father of Paraná painting,” and continues through
names such as Lange de Morretes, Miguel Bakun, Guido Viaro, Helena Wong, Antônio
Arney, Mário Rubinski, and Fernando Velloso, reaching contemporary production by
artists such as André Azevedo, Paolo Ridolfi, Willian Santos, Washington
Oliveira, Hugo Mendes, and Cláudio Alvarez—the latter being the author of the
iconic sculpture O Tempo e o Vento, created for the front of the hotel.
The fields of modern and contemporary design also tell part of our history and
culture, as Paraná and Brazil have a strong tradition in furniture design and
production, as well as a vast diversity of noble woods. Nomaa’s collection
includes pieces from the legendary Móveis Cimo and from the renowned Brazilian
designer Sérgio Rodrigues—who was also an architect and contributed to the
design of Centro Cívico de Curitiba. Throughout the hotel’s spaces, local names
such as Leandro Garcia, Marcelo Caruso, Leo Sokolovicz, Lucas Bond, and Jabuti
Atelier meet with various national and international designers — such as Martin
Eisler, Jader Almeida, Flávio de Carvalho, Jorge Zalszupin, and Hans Wegner —
creating dialogues and expanding narratives.
